MMS is 28% Sodium Chlorite combined with distilled water. When you combine 1 drop of sodium chlorite with five drops of a mild food acid, like fresh lemon or lime, or preferably 10% citric acid, the solution transforms into a new and much stronger compound called Chlorine Dioxide.

According to the American Society of Analytical Chemists in 1999, they proclaimed chlorine dioxide to be "the most powerful pathogen (disease) killer known to man."

This is what the inventor and metallurgist, Mr. Jim V. Humble brings to the table. He discovered that it is the oxidation from the chlorine dioxide that's doing the work of eliminating harmful pathogens from your body, not the oxygen that is in liquid oxygen, as was originally thought. They can handle Mr. Oxygen. Except this time to their surprise, Taz jumps out of the car, a hundred times more ferocious than the Terrorist and wipes out every disease pathogen in sight. So the next time the red blood car arrives, Meet Taz, MMS."

It appears that supplementing the immune system is the most realistic approach in aiding the body to better resist diseases. Our immune systems are our first line of defense against diseases, and they are all overworked. Look what they have to put up with; bad lifestyles, poor diets, stress, and pollution, all contribute to a weakened and stressed immune system.

One of the reasons it has taken science so long to get a good hold on the immune system, is that the parts and interconnectedness are not readily perceivable. Unlike the nervous, circulatory and respiratory systems that are physically connected. However, before we continue aggrandizing MMS, it might be worth understanding a little of the science of what goes on with Miracle Mineral Supplement.

Sodium chlorite and distilled water is what makes MMS. It is the only chlorite salt produced commercially in sizable quantities. It is used mainly for the generation of chlorine dioxide for the on site bleaching of textiles and is used in pulp and paper processing and as a detoxicant. This is a powerful chemical. Commercially available health water with trace amounts of sodium chlorite has been sold for over a hundred years.

Further to that, sodium chlorite is derived indirectly from sodium chlorate NaClO3. The explosive and unstable gas, chlorine dioxide ClO2 is produced by reducing sodium chlorate in a strong acid solution with a suitable reducing agent. A common reducing agent could be sodium chloride, sulfur dioxide, or hydrochloric acid as examples. The chlorine dioxide is then absorbed into an alkaline solution and reduced with hydrogen peroxide, H2O2 yielding sodium chlorite.

Now that's a little about sodium chlorite, however, it completely changes or transforms when you add an acid activator to it. I mentioned that in the first paragraph. That's how Jim Humble figured out how to make his remedy 100% effective. Now what you have is a new compound called chlorine dioxide. It is no longer sodium chlorite, it is now chlorine dioxide.

When a chlorine dioxide molecule meets any pathogen in your body's blood stream, all hell breaks loose and an explosion of oxidation occurs. This cleanses the body of harmful viruses, bacteria, fungi, yeasts, heavy metals and microorganisms that are then dissolved or oxidized. Health is then restored. The oxidation process results in no harmful side effects, just a little salt that is immediately flushed away, and some hydrochlorous acid that gets immediately reused by the body.

To start of with chlorine dioxide and chlorine are not the same. Chlorine is a chemical element. In ion form, chlorine is part of common salt and other compounds, and necessary to most forms of life, including human. A powerful oxidizing agent, it is the most abundant dissolved ion found in ocean water, and readily combines with almost every other element, including sodium to form crystals.

Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound that consists of one chlorine ion bound to two ions of oxygen. Oxidizing agents are chemical compounds that readily accept electrons from “electron donors.” They gain electrons through chemical reactions. This is REALLY important because relative to chlorine dioxide, all pathogens or diseases are electron donors.

Chlorine dioxide is extremely volatile in preventing pathogens from developing any resistance to it. Mostly because when they clash, the pathogens are exploded and no longer exist. Yet the healthy cells and beneficial bacteria are not affected.

Presently, Germany and Italy and 800 U.S. Cities are using chlorine dioxide exclusively for their community water purification.

Recently chlorine dioxide has been introduced to the spraying of vegetables, fruits and meats and is approved by the U.S. Department of Disease Control. Had there been more chlorine dioxide sprays available, we might not have had to have had the big salmonella out-break with the tomatoes and chili peppers of '08.
